SNMP libraries' functionality

I have installed a minimum agent, the following libaries have been
installed after the build process.

libnetsnmp.a
libnetsnmp.la
libnetsnmpagent.a
libnetsnmpagent.la
libnetsnmphelpers.a
libnetsnmphelpers.la
libnetsnmpmibs.a
libnetsnmpmibs.la

I would like to know their significance, what functionality does each
librarry has - please explain
