Reading your own values with net-snmp

Hi All!

We are running net-snmp 5.3 on several Windows 2003 servers. We have
about 10 values that I would like to read via SNMP. The values are
generated by an external program and I would like to write them to OIDs
which I can then read from our management server. We are already using
the extend directive in a different case (on a Linux machine), but this
is only for a single value, so I am not sure if this would be the right
approach. I thought about creating my own MIB file, but I am not sure
where to start my branch (which OID) and I am not even sure if this is
the best approach.

So, I am looking for some advice on how to handle being able to read
multiple values. Any help is appreaciated.

Regards,

Jim Mohr
