How to handle the netSnmpEnterprise entry?

Hi!

I can't find any specification supporting the statement:
"snmp_v2trap tries to add all the important parts of a message that are
required before it goes out, hence the reason it needs to add the
enterprise.  It's required by the SNMPv2c protocol!"

Found in the posting:

Where do I find this information?

Also I cannot find information on what value to set.
According to the RFC 3418:
"The authoritative identification of the enterprise
associated with the trap currently being sent.  When an
SNMP proxy agent is mapping an RFC1157 Trap-PDU
into a SNMPv2-Trap-PDU, this variable occurs as the
last varbind."
This does tell me much. Is it supposed to contain the OID "...private.enterprises.X"?
Should the value ONLY be set if an RFC1157 to SNMPv2 mapping is done?
