Hi I have the problem to understand how to addapt the netSnmpHostsTable example to my MIB. Spended houres to understand the differences and no step further. * I defined a own mib with a table. The table has 1 index (INTEGER), 6 values (INTEGER) and finally 1 row satus * I used the mib2c using mib2c.access_functions.conf co generate c code * I generated a file with 8 integer values (each line), seperated by an tab * I allready read the netSnmpHostsTable.c example http://net-snmp.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/net-snmp/trunk/net-snmp/agent/mibgroup/examples/ * I read the following post, which helped me most http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg10735.html So my Questions: * How does a snmpget and snmpset works? I mean from a request down to the file and back. I would say this is my main problem. I simply do not see, how it works. * What is the difference of my_data_context and put_index_data in this case? * How should the netSnmpHostsTable_get_next_data_point function looks like for my bigger table? * Is the get_next_data_point function called for each value (col in row) or only for the row? * Why do I need to save data in the my_loop_info, when I use snmp_set_var_value? I hope you can help me Cheers, Marc -- DSL-Preisknaller: DSL Komplettpakete von GMX schon für 16,99 Euro mtl.!* Hier klicken: http://portal.gmx.net/de/go/dsl02 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial.
