Threading problem after migrating to v5.5

Hello, all. We have net-snmp based agent, which worked just fine with net-snmp v5.4.2.1. In one of our custom modules, in module initialization function we're creating thread (which is NOT used to perform any SNMP-related activity, just our inside stuff). With net-snmp v5.4.2.1 all was ok. But then, we decided to migrate to net-snmp v5.5 and here is a problem: thread works while module is being initialized, but when it finished initializing module, thread stops. I even made an experiment: I took clean net-snmp v5.5 and added a module which creates thread in it's initialization routine. Same thing: thread works only during module initialization. Exactly same code works fine in v5.4.2.1. Where to look?
