  Just commented the monitors out & restarted the (v5.5) agent.  It still generates the same errors:

snmpd[29404]: netsnmp_assert 1 == new_val->high failed int64.c:419 netsnmp_c64_check32_and_update()
snmpd[29404]: c64 32 bit check failed
snmpd[29404]: netsnmp_assert 1 == new_val->high failed int64.c:419 netsnmp_c64_check32_and_update()
snmpd[29404]: c64 32 bit check failed

  Re-enabled monitors, changed notificationEvent to the following:

notificationEvent linkUpTrap linkUp
notificationEvent linkDownTrap linkDown

  v5.5 agent generates the same errors.

  Just for fun, I restored my original monitor/notificationEvent directives, but commented out the associated "iquerySecName _internal" user directive.  This caused snmpd to reject the two "monitor" lines during startup ("You must specify a default user name using the agentSecName token") but the agent still generates the same COUNTER64 associated errors.  So, I don't think they have anything to do with my internal monitor queries.

  This agent loads all the default MIBs, so could the problem be associated with background data fill?  Any way to narrow this down?
