Dave and others,
I think that Im missing something...
Something weird happens...
OID = An Cisco OID number.
If I ran this command "snmpget -c public -v 2c host OID"
I got an error that OID could not be found (or something like that).
Shouldn't I see the information? Or I miss understand something?
If I run this command "snmpwalk -c public -v 2c host | grep OID"
or
"snmpwalk -c public -v 2c host | grep sysUpTime*"
*for example
I got an "nothing" from grep. Grep haven't found anything.
Does it means that the information is not present?
But...surprisingly
If I ran "snmpwalk -c public -v 2c host OID"
I got the an answer.
Is this difference between snmpwak and snmpget normal?
Why just "snmpwalk -c public -v2c host oid" worked?
