Jane,

I ran into the same problem. From what I can tell net-snmp requires Perl 5.
12 (which is no longer available from ActiveState). I’ve been trying to
compile it to work with 5.14 but I have been running into several problems
trying to get it compiled.

Please let me know if you find another solution.

Subject: issue for installing netsnmp perl module with ppm

Hi,
I run into some problems when intalling perl module.
Operation system is Windows Vista and
downloaded net-snmp-5.6.1.1-1.x86 from http://www.net-snmp.org/download.html
and run net-snmp-5.6.1.1-1.x86.exe.

According to README document,
"cd (install folder)\Perl
ppm install NetSNMP.ppd"
There is no ppm in (install folder)\perl.
There is x86 folder and NetSNMP.ppd file in c:\usr\perl path.
So i download ActivePerl-5.14.2.1402-MSWin32-x86-295342.msi and used the ppm
to
install NetSNMP.ppd and failed with the info
"ppm install failed: The PPD does not provide code to install for this
platform"

Can anybody tell me how to get a right ppm?
Very appreciate your reply!

Best regards,
Jane
