Question about difference between V5.4.3 V5.7.1

Hi!

It's again me for a newbie question! I have seen i have installed two
version of snmp it's why i was a little lost. I know that by default the
snmp.conf snmpd.conf are in etc/snmp/ for the version 5.4.3 and inside
usr/local/etc/snmp for V5.7.1.

For the moment it's okay. When i have both installation i used the agent of
the V5.4.3 and launch the agent thanks to this etc/init.d/snmpd start or
restart depend. After it was possible to retrieve some data thanks to a
cross link ethernet link.

After to clean and delete all the snmp file i reinstall only the V5.7.1
thanks to the source file and the tutorial. My problem now, is how to run
the agent? the file etc/init.d/snmpd doesn't exist. I have search but i
have something wrong ... maybe my installation but i have try and try. Or
just i don't know the command to start the agent and it would be the reason
why that doesn't work.

Thanks for your help and your time... I really want to understand how that
work!
