more statusmap/trends woes

I recompiled libjpeg, gd and libpng all over and put them in a completely
separate area so as not to muck up the users environment.

Each was configured or Make'd with --prefix=   and each has specific LDflags
(-L=... -R=...      -I=...) to insure everything is found.   All compiled
cleanly.

Rebuilt netsaint cgis and copied trends.cgi, statusmap.cgi in place. The
web error logs say:

libpng warning: Application  is  running with png.c from libpng-1.2.4
gd-png:  fatal libpng error: Incompatible libpng version in application and libr

So I'm guessing the libpng source has old png.{c|h}

Can anyone send me newer one or point to better source?

I got it from http://www.libpng.org/pub/png/libpng.html which points to
ftp://ftp.simplesystems.org/pub/libpng/src/libpng-1.2.4.tar.gz
