Good morning, first make sure that "ARCServe Job Engine" is the real name and not the display name of the service. Do this by checking the registry (HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services) where the service real names are the key names. Second, use single quotes instead of double quotes in services.cfg. hope this helps, i just went through this myself. later, dean -- dream outloud -----Original Message----- From: Pietro Bandera [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, November 12, 2002 4:43 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [netsaint] Problem on check nt servises with nsclient Hi all I'm having problem in check NT/2000 services that have spaces in the name F.e. if i try to check the "alerter" service with the command ./check_nt -H 192.168.0.9 -v SERVICESTATE -l 'alerter' It works perfectly If i try to check the "arcserver job engine" or any other service that is listed in the services window but that has a name with spaces....i got ./check_nt -H 192.168.0.84 -v SERVICESTATE -l "ARCServe Job Engine" ARCServe Job Engine: Unknown It's not a misspell name, it seems i got a bug.....i tried with nsclint 1.04.5, 1.06.2, 1.07.0 but it's always the same...
