Re: More on my No Notifications problem...

I have done some more digging on my no notifications problem and, it
appears that, the reason notifications are not being delivered is that the
nagios user did not have +w on /tmp to create the temp files used in
sending mail with /bin/mail.

To test this theory, I su'ed to nagios and tried to execute /bin/mail and
got an error writing a file to /tmp.  I chmod'ed  /tmp to o+w and then
tried again and it worked and notifications started going out.

I'd rather not have /tmp world writable and I don't believe this is the
default setup so my questions are: is there a way to redirect where nagios
writes its temp files when sending mail and, if not, how do other people
have this set up?
