Re: Temperature sensor

I got a kit from kitsrus.com ... kit number K145 Serial Temperature 
Sensor.  It's a DIY deal, But I had no problem with it despite never 
having soldered electronics before.

I just ran the sample app that you can download for it ... it writes the 
readouts to a text file avery 15 seconds or so (I changed that to 1 
minute), and then wrote a quick plugin in python to grab the last line 
from that file.  Check the time relative to the current time to make sure 
it's still running.

It's worked great for about a year now.

it's a hot little therm...as far as I know they have only
one model.  It attaches via serial port.

they stopped selling hot little therms.  I thought you had
already bought some.
