Can't Configure Nocat Authentication

Hello,

My name is Edwin and I'm new to NoCat.  I need help
configuring the Authentication part.

I live in L.A. and I'm trying to do my own NoCat
community.  I already tried but fail, I could not get
the Authentication part of it working. I'm able to get
the gateway working.

Because this is only a project for school I'm using a
laptop and I'm trying to run both the gateway and the
authentication together in one machine.  Also, does
the router matter?  Does it really need to be a
802.11b?
