The Metrix Mark I is a consists of a Soekris net 4526 single board computer
with two mini pci slots and an Ethernet port, among other things.  It has no
moving parts, boots from a non-volatile ram and uses about 15 watts.  It is
made for embedded systems and rugged environments.  Metrix supplies it with
a waterproof case, a radio card and an antenna connector so that, at least
for clever people, one can just set it up and go.  It gets power off the
Ethernet cable.

The whole thing is really pretty cool.  I recently found the product but
since I'm new to wireless I figured everyone else knew all about it.  Sorry
for the confusion.
