I don't want to be involved in your network setup, but I can assist your friend with the configuration if they need it. Your NAS would work, however one thing I did last week was build a full system out of old components, so I can give you a server. AMD Athlon II x3 415e 24Gb RAM 128Gb SSD 2x 500GB HDD You don't have to give me any access to it, but I'd also be happy to help you set things up too. For this project my recommendation would be running Proxmox and 2 Debian virtual machines; one running Bind as per Opennic documents, and the other a work in progress Unbound configuration that I started but had to shut down. We don't need to interact financially, you'd have to book your own collect and delivery. Regards
