Getronics Singapore (http://www.getronics.com.sg) has become
the first company approved by Blast Internet Services to
become an OpenNMS services partner. Getronics will be able to
provide services and support for OpenNMS throughout Asia and
the Pacific Rim. Through this partnership, Getronics staff
have become throughly trained on the OpenNMS product, and
Getronics is able to call upon the support and development
staff of Blast should the need arise.
"Our main goal is the worldwide promotion of the OpenNMS
management application." states Blast's Tarus Balog,
maintainer of the OpenNMS project. "Getronics Singapore has a
proven track record and experience with commercial management
applications, and they have shown the ability deliver
services that exceed customer expectations. Since Singapore
is centrally located in Asia, Getronics is perfectly poised
to deliver a level of service that would be difficult from
the United States." Singapore's timezone is twelve hours ahead
of the Eastern United States, where Blast is headquartered.
"With Blast being able to offer commercial support and training
for OpenNMS, we feel that OpenNMS is set to become a major
player in the NMS space, and we want to be part of it." said
Justin Hammond, Infrastructure consultant with Getronics
Solutions in Singapore. "Having a rich feature set, zero
dollar cost for the software, the flexibility of open source
software, and assurances of a support contract backed by the
main developers of OpenNMS gives our customers value for
money, which in this economy is very important."
About Getronics: Getronics Singapore combines the two

driver of business advantage while continually seeking to
optimise the performance and cost-effectiveness of enterprise
ICT assets. Getronics worldwide has over 28,000 employees
and yearly revenue of over 3.2 billion euros.
