I'm trying to set up monitoring of the OpenNMS postgres database, but I'm having problems getting it to work correctly. With <parameter key="url" value="jdbc:postgresql://OPENNMS_JDBC_HOSTNAME:5432/opennms"/> I can't get it to work unless I change the postgresql configuration so that the DB is listening on the external interface. If I change it to <parameter key="url" value="jdbc:postgresql://localhost:5432/opennms"/>, it is connecting to the database and monitoring it, but I found that OpenNMS now also "discovers" the OpenNMS database server on every other node that is being monitored. How do you set up OpenNMS to monitor a service on the OpenNMS server that is only listening on the loopback interface? Or how does everyone configure monitoring of OpenNMS services?
