unreadable ifPhysAddress in string.properties

Hi. I'm, trying to have mac address of interfaces in string.properties i have added a line like this to the "mib2-interfaces" group: <mibObj oid=".1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.6" instance="ifIndex" alias="ifPhysAddress" type="string"/> but in string.properties we got: ifPhysAddress=T\uFFFDP\uFFFDM\uFFFD I've changed mibobj type to octetstring but it makes no difference. Using tcpdump, i find out that response contains the actual MAC address but opennms converts it to some unreadable encoding. Any idea how to solve this problem?
