Dashboarding graphs of a single metric for every interface in a node or category

Hi all,

I've been experimenting with OpenNMS to see if it will fit the needs of my
organization, and there's a couple of feature of our current NMSes I can't
seem to replicate with OpenNMS without a lot of messing around configuring
grafana, so I'm wondering if there's something I'm missing.

What I need is a way to view graphs from multiple interfaces on multiple
nodes on a single page, but viewing only one metric - be that throughput or
errors or whatever. At the moment I can easily get graphs for every
interface on a single node, but I get all metrics for every interface which
means I can't get a good view of e.g. just the throughput across all the
interfaces on a device.

Another use case is being able to graph all of the interfaces involved in
connectivity for a business service and being able to select whether to see
throughput, errors, bits in/out, etc. for all the interfaces at once.

As far as I can see it's impossible in OpenNMS to get graphs for multiple
nodes at a time in any way. For all of its other weaknesses this is one
thing (the only thing?) that Statseeker does quite well.

Am I missing something? Is there a way to do this without having to set up
queries manually in grafana for everything I want to be able to view?

Thanks.
