Hi Michael,

For us, the holes appear when there are too many nodes (10,000 for example), replacing HDD by SSD improved the situation but there are still missing data.

For JRobin, what you said is interesting, but I won't tune anything (because we are moving to Newts anyway) and get the results with the default configuration.

I have another question:

with JRobin we can detect missing data by counting the number of JRB files that has been updated in the last 6 minutes (by default, data are collected every 5 minutes so every JRB file should be modified in the last 5 minutes).

We can do this easily with this command : find -name '*.jrb' -mmin -6 | wc -l

but with Newts, how can we detect missing data? Does anyone have any ideas?

By the way, I will send you my results at the end of the tests.

Thank you.

Fred
