solaris zones & network interfaces

For 1.8.X:
Solaris zones have interfaces like:
lo0:27: flags=2001000849<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4,VIRTUAL> mtu
8232 index 1
inet 127.0.0.1 netmask ff000000
aggr81001:6: flags=201000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4,CoS>
mtu 1500 index 15
inet 172.16.81.45 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 172.16.81.255
Is there an easy way to strip off the :<num> from the interface name
before opennms uses it to create the data directory? The :<num> is not
guaranteed to be the same each time the zone boots, so I'm getting a
number of extraneous interface_<num>-<string> directories in the snmp
directories for each node thats a solaris zone.
