We use Sun Cluster to provide failover between two sites and do this at the zone level. This helps eliminate the problem of IPs being found on each of a pair of nodes. In this case the :<num> does change quite frequently as it depends on the order in which the zones are started. The significant information the interface (without :<num>) and the IP address. If there was a way of treating the different intances of :<num> as, in effect, aliases this would help reduce the impact of this problem. phil -- Phil Stringer, Infrastructure & Operations, Phone +44 161 275 6057 IT Services Division, email [email protected] The University of Manchester UK Genealogy - http://www.genuki.org.uk/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by Make an app they can't live without Enter the BlackBerry Developer Challenge http://p.sf.net/sfu/RIM-dev2dev _______________________________________________ Please read the OpenNMS Mailing List FAQ: http://www.opennms.org/index.php/Mailing_List_FAQ opennms-install mailing list To *unsubscribe* or change your subscription options, see the bottom of this page: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/opennms-install
