I have specified port 2222 for SSH on all linux servers, but continue to get SSH Down notifications. http://fluxs.me/6Bq1 you can see that I have configured the port. Is this the correct way to change a service port? And why am I getting "Service Down" notifications?

http://fluxs.me/6Bq1:
This is only for detecting an SSH Service. if the service is correctly detected and the service goes down, take a look at your poller-configuration.xml. This file describes the monitoring behavior and decides if service is up or down. The SSH-Monitor in poller-configuration.xml should have also the port 2222.

So far i can see the SSH-Monitor checks if the banner contains "SSH" (parameter key="banner" value="SSH"). You can verify your SSH-Server behavior with a simple

	telnet <your-server> 2222
	Trying <your-server>...
	Connected to <your-server>
	Escape character is '^]'.
	SSH-2.0-OpenSSH...

So if there is a connection banner which contains "SSH" the service seems to be up and running. If you've another SSH-Banner, you can set the banner parameter in your poller-configuration.xml.

In hope it helps with greetings from germany
