Hi Francis,

just take a dump of your db and restore it on the dev server. Good practice for database backup and restore anyway ;-))

As database structure changes with upgrades of opennms it won't be a good choice using the same db for dev purposes. And I'm pretty sure it will confuse opennms in some way. You will get thresholds, alarms, events mixed from both opennms servers as all of them are kept in the db.

Hi, I actually install a OpenNMS server on two server.. one server is running OpenNMS itself and the other run the DB only.. Now I would like to clone my OpenNMS server to have a "DEV" server so I can play a bit with customisation, of dashboard, notification, ect.. but I would like to sue the same database as the production one.. Is it supported and would it work well to have 2 separate OpenNMs using the same DB ?

Thx for any input..
