Thanks to all for their suggestions.. Please help me in server sizing as
well...

Below mentioned are my server HW information and network motoring
requirements(using an estimate figures)

Requiremnts...

I have around 6K interface in my network, around 2K interfaces are SNMP
supported, and will be required draw graphs to all kind of SNMP relevant
information, and remaining 4K interface are ping enabled (only), obviously,
all interfaces will show their ping availability.

HW Information (HS21 IBM Blade Server)

16 CPU (@2.6Mhz)

16GB Memory

140 GB Disk Space.

Will this single server be able to handle my (6K interfaces) network
monitoring without any performance issues?

Or I should use two Blade servers by distributing database one server and
opennms services on second one?

Which one is the best option please suggest..

Regards,

B~Mork
