Configuring Linkd to discover LLDP links

Hi all! I'm looking for some management software, and found OpenNMS. I think it is going to be perfect for monitoring my network, but before deploying I'm trying it at the lab with a small network model. I'm working with a VM, with the VMware image available. I'm trying to enable linkd to check LLDP, but can´t get it to work... I've changed service-configuration.xml (enabling <service> <name>OpenNMS:Name=Linkd [...] </service>) but "apparently" it is not working. I've checked linkd.log and is empty :S Is there anything more I should add? Also modified linkd-configuration.xml, adding my devices' OID (Allied telesis), but still empty. Any help would be appreciated! :D By the way, a little question about the network... I would like to set up some "seeds", and then using LLDP to know the links, then scan these devices and so on; is this possible?
