I have been looking to find out how to ensure that we are using 64 bit counters to monitor our Alcatel Lucent Switches. I can see that there are HC counters defined in the mib2.xml file under /etc/datacollection, but it doesn't appear that they are being used. We did a capture of traffic from the switch looking at SNMP traffic and only saw the OID for the 32 bit counters. We have set the switches to send traps to OpenNMS so that trapd could be used for discovery. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks, Tadge OpenNMS Version: 1.10.3 Home Directory: /opt/opennms RRD store by Group: false Web-Application Logfiles: /opt/opennms/logs/webapp Reports directory: /opt/opennms/share/reports Jetty http host: null Jetty http port: 8980 Jetty https host: null Jetty https port: null System Configuration Server Time: Mon Jul 02 16:31:29 EDT 2012 Client Time: Mon Jul 2 16:31:34 EDT 2012 Java Version: 1.7.0_04 Oracle Corporation Java Virtual Machine: 23.0-b21 Oracle Corporation Operating System: Linux 2.6.32-220.17.1.el6.x86_64 (amd64) Servlet Container: jetty/7.5.1.v20110908 (Servlet Spec 2.5) User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; Trident/5.0; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; SLCC2; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
