G'day Richard, Your question boils down to "how to set the IP address, or iptables rules, based on username". /etc/ppp/chap-secrets can be used to set an IP address for a user, but this doesn't prevent the user from connecting twice from two clients, and it isn't clear to me what happens. /etc/ppp/ip-up scripting is able to set up iptables rules, and has both the IP addresses for the client, and the username. So it should be possible to define rules based on username. I don't recall seeing any example. -- James Cameron http://quozl.linux.org.au/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ For Developers, A Lot Can Happen In A Second.
