The fact that it is 6 years old and has several patches should be reason enough.
Perhaps the main step would be have the experimental version point to head, or at least have instructions that the experminatal version is only available in git, instead of having it also point at 1.3.4 which implies there is nothing newer?

The patches over the last 6 years might not justify a new release, but they should (IMHO) at least be findable under experimental or someplace.

As far as I know (which isn't much about ppptp options), the above is client only.  I am interested in the server side.
