Proftpd comes from www.proftpd.org not from Redhat.

Neither YUM nor RPM are available for ProFTPD from Redhat, nor from
www.proftpd.org.

The ProFTPD file named INSTALL talks about creating your own YUM and
distributing it.

If you know of a vanilla YUM distribution, please reply and share it with
me.

How did I get my copy of Proftpd? Downloaded it to a USB stick outside my
office,
then uploaded it here at work. Why? Access to gz sites blocked from
network at work.

Ran vim today and issued set command, then saved.

Got this error trying to execute script configure

configure: error: cannot find install-sh or install.sh in ./ "."/./
