Hi. I've recently migrated an ISPConfig server from Ubuntu 10.04 to Ubuntu 18.04, now powered by pure-ftpd-mysql 1.0.46-1build1. One user has a huge directory containing >300000 files. To manage it we added the LimitRecursion file with "500000 50" as content. It was playing well on the old installation on 1.0.35-1, but on the new one we just get the following error on the client: Sorry, we were unable to read [.] There is no firewall on the server (yet), so passive ports are open. I enabled VerboseLog but the only messages I get on the server are: Feb 21 17:07:18 ServerWebLinu pure-ftpd: ([email protected]) [DEBUG] Command [pasv] [] Feb 21 17:07:18 ServerWebLinu pure-ftpd: ([email protected]) [DEBUG] Command [list] [] Feb 21 17:07:25 ServerWebLinu pure-ftpd: ([email protected]) [DEBUG] Command [cwd] [hugefolder] Feb 21 17:07:26 ServerWebLinu pure-ftpd: ([email protected]) [DEBUG] Command [pasv] [] Feb 21 17:07:26 ServerWebLinu pure-ftpd: ([email protected]) [DEBUG] Command [list] [] nothing else related to the problem. It's not a permission issue. Other small folders are browsed normally, just this one is causing troubles. Tested different clients, from Linux's ftp to Cyberduck and FileZilla, all behaving identically. In active mode ftp> ls hugefolder 200 PORT command successful 425 Could not open data connection to port 49561: Connection timed out How can I debug the issue?
