Re: [pure-ftpd] Sorry, we were unable to read [.]

I confirm it's a matter of number of files. I've moved away a lot of them into a subdir (now they're 50000+) and directory listing works.
I see there's a VirtualQuota option but I don't have it enabled. Anyway I tried adding a files quota of 600000 to the user but it's still failing.
What other options could lead to this behaviour?
