Summary: wrong symbols typed with non-english layout

Initial Comment:
The problem concerns rdesktop 1.7.0.
I start rdesktop from gnome-terminal in Gnome DE. When english keyboard layout is enabled, everything goes fine. I run command

rdesktop -k en-us <ip>

and all symbols are typed in correctly.
But if I change keyboard layout to russian (in my DE) and then run rdesktop with the same command, some symbols are typed in wrongly.
For example, when I press Shift-2, symbol " appears (instead of @).
And the same with all numbers raw:
; instead of $
: instead of ^
...

If I can provide any additional or debug information, please don't hesitate to ask me.
