Hi! Yes, RemoteApps is interesting, and long term it is a better solution
than SeamlessRDP. Why no-one has added support for it? Well, as you
probably know, the rdesktop project has been a little bit inactive. From a
Cendio perspective, historically few customers has asked for this. One
reason for this might be that RemoteApps is only available with Windows
2008 and Windows 2008 R2, and in general, Windows 2003 R2 provides better
compatibility. But over time, more and more applications works on
Vista/7/2008, thus making 2008 R2 and RemoteApps more and more
interesting.

The FreeRDP project has removed the SeamlessRDP support because they
eventually want to add RemoteApps support instead. But no work has been
done yet. If they make some progress, we might be able to borrow some
code.

Another option would be that Cendio implements this from scratch, but in
that case, I guess it must be a part of a bigger project, or some
sponsoring would be required.

Subject: RDP with RemoteApps

Peter,

It is great to see someone pickup the progress of RDP that was approaching 10 years old.  I am wondering if you have Remote Apps on
your horizon.  If so how long out do you think it will be before it is available?  I do not understand why more people have not
advanced this cause.  There is a lot of great features if we can get someone to develop.

Look forward to your comments.
