Give us more information. Which keymap are you using? If you run rdesktop 
from a command line, does it produce any output? For example, on my 
machine, it says:

[astrand@stella ~]$ rdesktop efti.thinlinc.com
Autoselected keyboard map sv
WARNING: Remote desktop does not support colour depth 24; falling back to 16
