Mysteriuos segfaults

for some reason I'ven't figured out yet, some terminals do have serios 
problems after switching to rdesktop and debian etch from of win2k and MS-RDP 
clients.
If a user, haven't worked on a broken terminal yet logs in, he can work for 
some time without any trouble. After a diffrent amount of time (2-30 min) 
or(?) after a certain (random?) event (like expand some start-menu entry like 
my documents) rdesktop crashes.
Furthermore, the user is unable to login on these "broken" terminals as long 
as relicted sessions run on the server. (rdesktop crashes after submitting 
login credentials)
These "broken" terminals use debian etch (4.0) (and rdesktop 1.5.0). rdesktop 
is started via xinitrc on boot, but the problem also occurs if rdesktop is 
started within an xfce4 session).
For some reason I don't have this kind of problems on my laptop (also etch, 
also 1.5.0). By using my laptop, users can clean there relicted sessions and 
login without any problem.
What my be wrong here?
