Pressing ALT, has just opened the start menu. The above workaround hasn't worked for me, but on Friday I tried xmodmap -e "keysym Meta_L = Alt_L" and _that_ worked. The ALT key works as expected in an rdesktop window. And so far I haven't seen any ill sideeffects in other windows. My current platform, is: Intel Pentium M, Ubuntu 08.04 (but the behaviour was the same on 7.10), Norwegian keyboard, Gnome desktop (vanilla Ubuntu installation), rdesktop 1.5.0-3+cvs20071006 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event.
