I've heard this problem before, wasn't this to do via or openchrome driver?

Think there was a xorg.conf fix... possibly adding one of the following to 
your xorg.conf [Device] section:

  Option "SWcursor"

or

  Option "SWcursor" "true"

Can't remember which now, perhaps this gives you something to google.  If you 
do fix it, then it would be helpful if you could respond with what you did, 
as I know there was at least one earlier post that wasn't replied to on this 
subject.
