Arabic Lang Alt+Shift Switch Problem

I am testing Rdesktop 1.6 on thinstation 2.2 but i am facing a problem with
lang. switching between En-us and Ar-Jo

when i change the lang to Arabic , so i have opened an notepad and start
typing and there are strange characters instead of what suppose to appear.

I have discovered that when i press shift and the letter i need to be typed
it works

is there some kind of fix for this issue

there is some other issue when i press left alt+shift it stick on alt why
.....?
