Compiling rdesktop with smartcard

Hi,

i'd like to compile rdesktop with smartcard support.
Some packages I tried.

The source package from Ubuntu 12.1 distribution The source package from Debian testing distribution The source package from opensuse 12.1 distribution The source package form rdesktop page in version 1.7.0 and 1.7.1

./configure --enable-smartcard  comes with the following error in config.log

After compiling I can start rdesktop, but if I try to use smartcard rdesktop goes to nirvana.

Any ideas what can be wrong.
