hi,

last couple of days the SILC mailing lists were mostly out of order, as
some of you probably noticed.  all of them are now back in service
again.

the outage was caused by careless and rather intrusive configuration
changes related to the machine where lists.silcnet.org was hosted on,
server.linux.sk operated by SkLUG (Slovak Linux Users Group).
unfortunately, they didn't even bother to contact us and inform about
the changes at all (which is still true at this moment i am writing the
mail..).

since we planned to move the lists out from the machine for some time
anyway, we finally managed to do so, a bit under pressure, though.  i
would like to say big thanks to Tibor Pittich (future), who helped me to
set up the lists again (we had a lot of late night fun, without shell
access to the machine, manually extracting configuration and list
subscribers through the web interface..) and will be taking care of the
new list server.

i'd also like to thank to SkLUG and the former administrators of their
server for providing us with their support in the past.  the new staff
could learn a lesson about proper system administration and realize,
that only will isn't enough..
