Question regarding audio/video messaging

I've decided to make an attempt to write a simple-as-possible A/V
client.

I can't find any information about how video or audio data was
intended to be sent using the SILC protocol. I assume that the
data was meant to be split into buffers in some way and sent
using MIME messages?
