Proof-of-concept already exist with the SilcImproved (si) client.  I added 
support for sending any kind of data (using the MIME, yes) in that client.

As a test that it actually worked I streamed audio to a channel.  
Similarly video could be sent as well.

In addition of this, couple years ago I submitted patch to Pidgin (then 
Gaim) to add secure VOIP support to it, but at that time they didn't want 
to add it.  Currently I haven't had time to add the VOIP support to Pidgin 
even though it would be possible now... Anyone interested in that should 
maybe consider doing some work in that regard, perhaps you.  I'm glad to

I wrote an Internet Draft how multimedia data is going to be used in SILC 
but I haven't released it.  I should finish it and release whatever 
version I have so that people can take a look at it.
