Software: latest silc-client 1.0.2 Operating System: OSX Tiger Release 8.3.0 Darwin Kernel Version 8.3.0: Mon Oct 3 20:04:04 PDT 2005; root:xnu-792.6.22.obj~2/RELEASE_PPC Power Macintosh powerpc Installation: source Ever since OSX TIger (10.4.x), the client is unable to build. Using xCode 2.1 or xCode 2.2 package installed gcc version 4.0.1 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 5247) Two failure modes: 1) --with-perl=yes which is the default, it will fail when it gets to that section fo the buld. 2) if you --with-perl=no, the build completes but when you go to ./silc and run: [mordor:/usr/local/silc] tk% ./bin/silc dyld: Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/libiconv.2.dylib Referenced from: /usr/local/silc/./bin/silc Reason: Incompatible library version: silc requires version 6.0.0 or later, but libiconv.2.dylib provides version 5.0.0 Trace/BPT trap [mordor:/usr/local/silc] tk% I went out to see if the rest of the community was seeing this problem and Google returned nothing of the sort. --tk _______________________________________________________________ Info: https://lists.silcnet.org/mailman/listinfo/silc-users Archive: https://lists.silcnet.org/pipermail/silc-users FAQ: http://silcnet.org/support/faq/
