Our newsmaster said he sent a bug fix or at least a report on this particular problem. I don't have the fix but I will test it as soon as you or the newsmaster sends it to me. At meanwhile I wrote http://www.funet.fi/~kouhia/nntppull.tar.gz which loads the articles. There is still a bug when the group is switched, but the first group rec.games.roguelike.adom comes ok or close. slrnpull may have another bug as seen here. rec/games/roguelike/adom/115957 nntppull: Metallurgy ............... 92 (superb) [+1d5] Mining ...... slrnpull: Metallurgy ............... 92 (superb) [+1d5] Min ing ...... Note that nntppull removes ^M characters. The article 115957 may have "Min^Ming". My nntppull fails because an article has only . in a line. How that dot differs from the . at the end of article. Maybe removal of ^M is not a good idea.
