It doesn't happen with slrn-9.8.1 stable compiled against slang1. Perhaps also the Ctrl-U prob (whereas Ctrl-A or Ctrl-K work). I tried in AppleTerminal, xterm, iTerm, with and without colors, always same behaviour.
