Yes - please note that the version of slrn you are using does not 
support UTF8 terminals, so you need to run it in a "regular" 8-bit 
terminal (e.g., using iso-8859-1 as your charset) and with the 
corresponding locale settings. Alternatively, some users prefer to use 
the current (experimental) CVS version of slrn which builds against 
slang-2 and handles UTF-8 correctly.
