Problem posting folded headers in Debian Experimental package

I'm using the Slrn package from Debian Experimental
(0.9.8.1pl2~cvs20070125-1) and I've noticed a small bug. When I
attempt to post a folded header, Slrn truncates the folded part. E.g.,
Summary: this header
is folded
is posted as
Summary: this header
The version of Slrn in Debian Etch (0.9.8.1pl1-28) posts the folded
header correctly, although Slrn unfolds it for display in the pager.
Here are four examples I posted to news:uk.test:
Message-ID: <[email protected]>
Message-ID: <[email protected]>
[both posted with Debian Experimental package]
Message-ID: <[email protected]>
Message-ID: <[email protected]>
[both posted with Debian Etch package]
You can find the posts by searching recent posts in uk.test for author

This bug is an inconvenience because sometimes it's appropriate to insert
formatted text into a Summary or other header line. Although Slrn displays
headers unfolded, not all news clients do.
