I have to use that mutt, only because i don't have slrn front end yet.
Using Gmane scripts and inn, i would succeed.

Will see. I like minimum set of functionality *and* code. Next two
month or so are scheduled for other stuff, but i hope i will start to
read code as soon as possible. Maybe something very basic
linux-glibc specific, small will be enough to re-born. But this
depends on libslang also...

HAAA-HAA-HA!!! Year, that kind of botizm is scary. I never used USENET or
anything else in my life. I'm product of stupid XML, CSS, Javascript post
dot.com era. And my only concern was how programmers are communicating.
Mailing lists, such as the LKML, have all that media rumors, fairy tales
etc., nothing useful for beginners. With slrn and Gmane all went pretty
smooth. Almost one year i'm happy developer. I handle tens of
thousands messages in 60 lists easily. Easy threading, easy archive
access, almost anything! This is not just to be a bot in IRC or in
USENET somewhere.

Well, as i said, i'm not in all that news stuff, i like to be a
developer, but thanks, appreciated!

How about 10k backlog? But i still want to follow current evens with
proper new and *old* threads. To be network friendly is just a matter
of be good designer, not good consumer. Re-getting all that messages on
and on isn't good idea, i think.
